Trio of 2026 prospects headlines Minnesota's Thursday visitor group
New details have emerged about several recent Gopher football and basketball recruiting updates.
The Gophers hosted several 2026 prospects for an unofficial visit on Thursday, March 2nd. The visitors headlined a group of six total prospects that got a first hand look at Minnesota's campus and facilities.
The trio of 2026 prospects that visited on Thursday included Apple Valley (MN) RB Jameson Kurth, St. Paul (MN) Cretin-Derham Hall TE Jack Hansen, and Neenah (WI) RB Isaac Aune.
Kurth is a 3-star prospect and the younger brother of current Gopher running back Bryce Williams. He rushed for 1,210 yards and 18 touchdowns as a freshman in 2022.
Hansen is a 6-foot-4, 215-pound tight end who has offers from Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and others.
Aune is a 5-foot-11, 175-pound running back who has offers from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa State, and others.
In addition to the three 2026 prospects, the Gophers also hosted three 2024 prospects on Thursday: Wayzata (MN) WR Ky Thomas, Champlin Park (MN) WR Danny Striggow, and Eau Claire (WI) Memorial OL Nolan White.
Thomas is a 3-star prospect who has offers from Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and others.
Striggow is a 3-star prospect who has offers from Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and others.
White is a 3-star prospect who has offers from Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and others.
The Gophers are off to a strong start in the 2026 recruiting cycle, and Thursday's visitor group was further evidence of that.
