Brisbane Lions AFLW premiership players commit to the Club
Dawes, Ellenger and Hickie sign new long-term deals
Trio key part of Lions' premiership success
Brisbane Lions AFLW premiership players Belle Dawes, Jade Ellenger and Tahlia Hickie have all committed to the Club until 2026 and beyond.
The trio were all members of the Lions' premiership-winning team in 2021 and have played a key role in the Club's success in recent years.
"We're thrilled that Belle, Jade and Tahlia have all committed to the Club," Brisbane Lions AFLW Senior Coach Craig Starcevich said.
"They're all quality players who have been a big part of our success in recent years and we're looking forward to seeing them continue to play a key role in our team for many years to come."
Dawes is a key defender who has played 30 games for the Lions since making her debut in 2019. She was named in the All-Australian team in 2021 and was a key part of the Lions' premiership success.
Ellenger is a midfielder who has played 26 games for the Lions since making her debut in 2020. She was a member of the Lions' premiership-winning team in 2021 and was named in the All-Australian team in 2022.
Hickie is a forward who has played 24 games for the Lions since making her debut in 2021. She was a member of the Lions' premiership-winning team in 2021 and was named in the All-Australian team in 2022.
The Lions are confident that Dawes, Ellenger and Hickie will continue to play a key role in the Club's success in the years to come.
